CARBON TARGETS
Oxford Economics recognises the need to address climate change and is committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions through credible and science-based action.
GHG emission targets:
- UK offices will be carbon neutral by 2027 for all scope 1 and 2 emissions

CLIMATE CONTRIBUTIONS
In recognition of the impact our business travel, and in addition to reducing business travel where possible, Oxford Economics have contributed to carbon removals and nature projects.
In 2024 we removed 1500 tonnes of CO2eq and supported nature recovery by contributing to these certified projects:
Humbo Ethiopia Assisted Natural Regeneration Project
Restoration of indigenous tree species in Southwestern Ethiopia.
Bangladesh Horticultural Agroforestry
Planting fruit-bearing trees on marginal lands owned by smallholder farmers in Bangladesh, focusing on horticultural agroforestry systems to enhance carbon removal and multiple benefits
Coral Reef Structures & Rewilding Former Mining Site
In addition we contributed to broader biodiversity goals by contributing to Coral Reef structures in Indonesia and the rewilding of a former mining site in Portugal through Mossy Earth.
UN GLOBAL COMPACT
As a participant of the United Nations Global Compact, Oxford Economics is committed to aligning strategies and operations with ten universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and taking actions to advance broader societal goals, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals.

EcoVadis
As part of our commitment to society, our people and the environment, Oxford Economics completes a thorough assessment of its business sustainability practices every year through EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments.
The EcoVadis assessment includes 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
In our first rating, which was completed in November 2024, we earned a committed badge, which demonstrates our progress toward sustainability.
