Aran Ryan

Aran assists owners, operators, and destinations to understand the impact of tourism industry trends. He focuses on industry-specific analysis and forecasting, as well as strategy and policy analysis.

He has over 25 years of consulting experience applying analytics, forecasting, project management, research, and financial analysis skills to support client decision-making in the lodging, casino gaming and destination development sub-sectors.

Prior to joining Tourism Economics, he was a Director in the Hospitality & Leisure consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Before PwC, he worked at WEFA Group (now IHS Markit). A graduate of Colby College, Aran earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Isaac Collazo
Isaac Collazo

Isaac Collazo is the Vice President of Analytics at STR, a global leader in hospitality data, benchmarking, analytics, and marketplace insights. He maintains STR’s analytical and data methodology and leads the holistic unification of STR products/services to provide a single, reliable, and comprehensive source of lodging knowledge.

Collazo served in leadership positions at IHG for nearly two decades, with a focus on competitive intelligence and performance analysis, predictive analytics, modeling and macroeconomic interpretation. His more than 30-year industry resume also includes earlier positions with Marriott International, Promus Hotel Corporation and La Quinta Inns & Suites.

Geena Bevenour
Geena Bevenour

Geena Bevenour joined the team in October 2023. In her role as marketing manager, she heads the creative expansion of the Tourism Economics brand and supports global business development initiatives.

Prior to this role, Geena served as manager of marketing and industry communications at U.S. Travel Association where she supported nationwide travel industry activations, digital webinar series and content creation for large-scale events.

She holds a master’s degree in travel and tourism and a bachelor’s degree in business media studies from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Adam Sacks

Adam Sacks is the founder and President of Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics company dedicated to understanding the relationship between travel and the economy.

For more than two decades, Adam has worked with destinations, industry associations, and companies around the world in the areas of opportunity and risk assessments, policy analysis, and economic impact.

He is an authority on measuring the economic impact of visitor activity and has analyzed the impacts of cruising, gaming, timeshare, hotels, new attractions and destination marketing. Adam’s work has provided the foundation for billions of dollars in capital investment decisions by hotel companies, developers, and investors. Destination marketing organizations around the world rely on Tourism Economics data and scenario models to inform global marketing investment allocations.

Adam also supports trade associations in the aviation, hotel, and broader travel arena with forecasts widely considered to be an industry standard. Adam’s work has influenced critical government policies in the areas of travel facilitation, taxation, and tourism promotion initiatives. Adam regularly presents to corporate strategic planning teams on the threats and opportunities facing their businesses and is a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Travel & Tourism Advisory Board.
