Tomas Dvorak
Tomas Dvorak

Tomas is a Senior Economist in the Macro and Investor Services’ eurozone team. He oversees the coverage of Central and Eastern Europe in addition to producing thematic research on the eurozone and developing modern, data-driven approaches to economic forecasting, including the use of alternative and high-frequency data.

Tomas holds an MA in economics from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in economics from the University College London. He previously worked as a data scientist at KPMG and as an advisor in the European Parliament.

Ben May
Ben May

Ben May is a Director of Global Macroeconomic Research at Oxford Economics and is involved in the production and presentation of the company’s global macroeconomic views, with a leading role in our coverage of the advanced economies. Ben joined Oxford Economics in April 2014. He has over 15 years’ experience as a macro economist in the public and private sector and has over a decade’s expertise covering the Eurozone economy.

Before joining the Global Macro team, Ben worked on the Eurozone team at Oxford Economics. In addition to his working covering broad Eurozone issues he was also responsible for research on the ECB and Germany. Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Ben spent over six years at Capital Economics and was responsible for the coverage of the southern Eurozone economies throughout the Eurozone crisis. Before that, he spent seven years at the Bank of England, working in three divisions of the Monetary Analysis area of the Bank, which provides research and analysis for the Monetary Policy Committee. Ben has a BSc in Economics with Statistics from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Economics from University College London.

Betty Wang
Betty Wang

Betty joined Oxford Economics in January 2024 as Lead Economist covering Greater China and regional trends in Asia, based in Singapore.
Before joining Oxford Economics, Betty served as a Senior China Economist at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd, based in Hong Kong. She has built a strong reputation among corporate and financial institutional clients, with her China research widely cited by local and international media. Beyond her Greater China coverage, Betty took initiatives and expanded her research focus to ESG and sustainable finance, leading the team to win the best ESG research award in Australia. Betty started her career at Standard Chartered Bank in 2008, where she worked as a Northeast Asia Economist.

Adam Slater
Adam Slater

Adam Slater is a lead economist at Oxford Economics, responsible for contributing to and helping to communicate Oxford Economics’ global macroeconomic view, including writing for and helping edit regular publications. He has a particular interest in developments in financial markets. Before joining Oxford Economics, Adam spent more than ten years working as an economist and strategist in the City of London for Nomura, Rabobank, and Calyon.

Bernard Yaros
Bernard Yaros

Bernard is a Lead US Economist at Oxford Economics. He was previously an Assistant Director at Moody’s Analytics, where he analyzed the U.S. economy, focusing on federal fiscal policy. His work on the federal government has been widely cited by the media, members of Congress, and even the White House.

Bernard holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics and a B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College.
