After completing her placement year at the Department for Work and Pensions, specialising in Universal Credit strategy around children, Jessie also rebranded the Government economics schools outreach programme, improving the diversity of students studying economics in further education.

Before joining Oxford Economics in 2025, Johanna worked at DIW Econ, the consultancy firm of the German Institute for Economic Research. During her time there, Johanna led several high-profile projects assessing the economic impact of different industries and institutions, as well as projects addressing socioeconomic and environmental issues. Johanna holds an M.Sc. in Economics and Management from Leibniz University Hannover.

He has directed the Thought Leadership contribution on some of Oxford Economics’ largest and most complex research programmes, for global consultancies and corporates, including Accenture, the Adecco Group, Cognizant, EY, Fujitsu and YouTube. Often this is in collaboration with his economist colleagues to blend qualitative and quantitative analysis, and to explore the impact of corporate actions at a business, industry and economy level.

John joined Oxford Economics in 2014, after 25 years as a Financial Controller, financial management consultant and, most recently, a thought leadership expert for IBM’s Institute for Business Value, focused on global public sector issues. John then worked on the independent Digital Government Review as input to the UK General Election. He is an Economics graduate from Sussex University and a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA).

John Walker is the Founder and an Executive Board Director of Oxford Economics, which he established in 1981.

From 1973 to 1977, John worked in the UK Treasury, where he became an economic adviser in the short-term forecasting division. He then worked for the consultancy arm of The Economist Newspaper, before becoming a Special Adviser to the EEC Commission in Brussels in 1980, where he was co-ordinator of forecasts for all the EEC countries and related forecasts for the US and Japan.

John returned to the UK in 1983 to work full-time for Oxford Economic Forecasting. He has headed Oxford Economics's move into international forecasting, developing strong links with economists around the world and co-ordinating the development of the user-friendly versions of the Oxford Economics models that are now used by governments, central banks and a wide range of blue chip organisations globally. As well as being a much-respected commentator on global economic prospects, John leads major consultancy projects with government departments and multinational companies from Europe and the United States on issues ranging from international capital flows to developments in the Middle East economies."

Kiran has worked at Oxford Economics for over 15 years. During her time at the company, she has had responsibility for forecasting commodity prices, including energy and metals and is currently working on developing the Commodity Service’s agricultural commodity offering. In addition, she has had responsibility for forecasting several different industrial sectors including metals and engineering for the Industry Service and is now responsible for forecasting the agriculture sector. Kiran has led several consultancy projects in the Industry Team while at Oxford Economics and continues to manage some of the projects in capital goods sector.

Prior to working at Oxford Economics, Kiran worked at CRU, a metals consultancy, where she contributed to the aluminium demand analysis. Kiran holds an MSc in Economics from Nottingham University and a BA (Hons) from Kingston University.
