In the seventh annual market report commissioned by Europump and the Hydraulic Institute, Oxford Economics investigates how the usage of pumps has increased recently and is forecast to change in the future. It analyses how usage has been impacted by the increase in inflationary pressure, the rises in interest rates, and slowdown in global growth in 2022H2 and 2023. It looks forward to see how rapidly demand is forecast to recover out to 2027.

Pump consumption is analysed by global region and the 34 largest using countries. The report reveals the countries and regions where demand has been growing the most rapidly and how growth rates are forecast to change out to 2027.

The report also examines how demand for pumps has changed from the perspective of different end-user industries. It explores the economic drivers of usage in the water and waste water, oil and gas, power generation, and other major user industries.
