The IFS Green Budget

For the third successive year Oxford Economics has collaborated with the Institute for Fiscal Studies on the Green Budget. This long-running and highly respected publication provides an overview of the outlook for the UK economy and the public finances. The key conclusion from this year’s report is that if our estimation of the size of the output gap is correct, the government has embarked on an austerity programme which is more aggressive than is necessary and could abandon some of the planned spending cuts during the next parliament.

The report, as well as the presentation slides and videos of the presentations from the launch event can be found here.
