Cobus is currently the Director of Consulting at Oxford Economics Africa, previously the company’s Chief Economist for North and West Africa. Cobus completed his B.Com Econometric Analysis degree at the University of Stellenbosch, opting to also pursue a B.Com Honours in Economics at the same institution. He spent two years with GSEC, a consultancy focused on strategy realignment services in the public and private sectors, before moving to B&M Analysts as a research analyst and later project manager. During this time, Cobus completed his master’s degree and thereafter completed a D.Com in Economics at the University of South Africa. Cobus has been at Oxford Economics Africa for ten years and has managed and worked on a significant number of bespoke projects for both local and international clients, governments and multilateral institutions.

Conor Nevin is a Senior Director and Head of Asset Management Sales in the US East Coast, and UK & Ireland territories.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics in 2019, Conor worked at another leading provider of macroeconomic research, Capital Economics, where he managed the North American Sales Teams for five years. Conor’s experience before entering the world of economic research is in financial services, providing investment and financial planning advice to clients in Ireland.

Courtney is the Senior Vice President for Business Development, and since 2018 has been a member of Oxford Economics’ Senior Management Committee and the business development division’s Global Leadership Team. She is also the business development lead for the company’s IT Liaison group, which identifies and prioritises improvement opportunities and serves as a bridge linking the business lines and IT.

Courtney is responsible for managing the strategic growth and development plans for Oxford Economics in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She splits her time between the UK and UAE, overseeing teams in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Milan and Dubai. She joined the business in 2014, and has since worked in a variety of leadership roles across the UK/Ireland, Middle East, Africa and Greater China.  Courtney has more than 15 years’ experience working in business development, and holds a Master’s degree in International Development from Utrecht University (NL) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Political Science from Ohio University (USA).

Prior to joining Alpine Macro, Dan spent eight years with UBS, as an Executive Director, responsible for country sovereign risk analysis for the Americas. Prior to UBS, Dan was a Director at Eurasia Group in various roles, including in global comparative analysis, and ran product development. He has also worked at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, and at Deloitte Consulting. Dan pursued postgraduate studies in International Relations at the London School of Economics, holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a BSFS from Georgetown University.

Dan Martin is a Lead Economist on the Economic Impact Consulting team. During his eleven years at Oxford Economics, Dan has worked on a wide range of topics, including economic footprint analyses in industries such as petroleum refining, air transportation, nuclear energy, consumer goods, and industrial trucks.

Much of his work has focused on labor markets, on topics such as overtime regulation, career progression, retirement savings, and gap analyses relating occupational demand to educational supply. He has also worked on topics such as energy efficiency, international trade, and the economics of warehousing.

Dan has a PhD in economics from Clark University, an MA from NYU, and a BS from Stanford, and previously worked at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Daniel is an economist who joined BIS Oxford Economics in 2020 as part of the graduate program. He has been involved in several consulting projects which included economic due diligence projects for assets transaction sales, scenario modelling, developing macroeconomic models and forecasts as well as conducting strategic cost-benefit analysis and economic impact assessments.

Daniel also has broad economic industry experience through his time working with BIS Oxford Economics’ subscription services. This included analysing and forecasting the construction and mining sectors, as well as the residential and commercial property sectors. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business (Economics) and a Bachelor of Economics Honours from Queensland University of Technology.

Since joining Oxford Economics in 2021, Daniel has completed a number of economic impact studies both in the US and globally for clients such as Pepsi, YouTube, and Visa. Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Daniel spent two years with the Overseas Development Institute, acting as an economic policy advisor to the Government of Malawi. He has also worked in anti-trust and competition economics for CRA.

Daniel holds a MSc (Hons.) in economics from the London School of Economics, and a BA (Hons.) in economics from McGill University.

Daniel is an economist in the Cities team, having joined Oxford Economics as a graduate in 2021. Daniel has worked on economic impact studies and socioeconomic analysis studies for clients in the information technology, logistics, and real esate sectors. During his undergraduate studies he completed a placement year in a local finance company where he worked with several Tier 1 Level Investment Banks. Before starting final year, Daniel spent a month working at Pivotal Public Policy Forum who are a think tank based in Northern Ireland. Whilst there, Daniel helped tackle and offer solutions in blog posts and their publications to some of Northern Ireland’s most pressing issues. He graduated from Ulster University in 2021 with a first-class honours BSc in Business Economics.

Recent economic impact studies undertaken by Daniel include the economic impact of a proposed data centre in the UK, the economic impact of a new stadium in the UK, and the economic impact of a new library in a UK university. Daniel has also worked on several research briefs looking into differing productivity levels and growth rates across European cities.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Daniel was a senior research fellow at the Center for Economic Research of ETH Zurich in Switzerland and at the Research Center SAFE of Goethe University in Frankfurt. Daniel received his PhD in economics from the University of Mannheim and has published in leading international journals such as the International Economic Review and Quantitative Economics.

David Goodger is Managing Director, EMEA, Tourism Economics. He has been instrumental in developing the global model of tourism flows and spending, which covers 185 origins and destinations, and he continues to manage regular forecast updates. He also maintains an active role in new product development and consultancy work.

David Goodger is a Director within Tourism Economics and primarily concentrates on tourism demand forecasting and market sizing. He has also taken an active role in further model development for specific purposes, with an emphasis on examining the economic contributions of particular sectors and the impact of different policies. He has conducted a groundbreaking analysis of the business travel sector for the WTTC and the US Travel Association which estimates the return on investment of corporate spending on travel and he has developed models to define destination marketing allocations.

Since joining Oxford Economics in 2000, David Goodger has been involved in a wide range of forecasting and modelling activities. He has been part of the macroeconomic forecasting and the industrial forecasting teams contributing to both regular reports and specific client studies as well as assisting in the development of detailed forecasting and simulation models.

David was educated at the University of Bristol, England, where he gained a first-class degree in Economics with Statistics; and at the London School of Economics and Political Science, England, where he graduated with an MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics.

In addition, he was the Managing Editor for the Foreign Exchange Strategy and the China Investment Strategy services. David Moore is a Lead Economist at Oxford Economics in the EMEA macro consulting team and is based in the UK. He is engaged in a wide variety of bespoke consultancy projects, including the development of large-scale macroeconomic models and scenario analysis. Additionally, David manages a large-scale annual project for the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) which measures the economic impact of the Travel & Tourism sector across 185 countries around the world. David also has a wealth of experience in building composite indices for clients including Accenture, Grant Thornton and KPMG.

David has been with Oxford Economics for more than ten years, joining directly after graduating from the Queen’s University of Belfast with a first-class honours degree in Finance in 2012. During the course of his studies, David won various awards and scholarships in recognition of his performance in degree examinations.
